CURSES - Foiled Again !!!!

oh my, oh my... for a moment, there was a giant celebration - the "Pineapple Crazy" top was finished - hooray, horray.  "Pineapple Crazy" is a Bonnie Hunter pattern, with MANY many small pieces - just what I love to do...

After much shooing to keep the kitties away, I got a couple of good photos:

 and then ......................
Blimey..................Crap...................
Expletive Deleted...

See the problem?

I have to take one border off and put it back on the same direction as the other three.

Not right now.  I have learned that lesson - when you find a major boo-boo, don't try to fix it immediately - give yourself a little breather room - then later it doesn't seem so disheartening to rip it !

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday afternoon.

Love your pineapple quilt. Sorry you have a little fix it.

I had a similar issue last week when I joined two halves of a Christmas tree quilt. It is frustrating, but I totally agree with what you said about waiting until another day to fix it. The pineapple quilt is spectacular!

Oh Kate - how human you are!!! The quilt is astonishing, beautiful, and yes, after that small boo-hoo, it shows how HUMILITY comes with the territory! I call this my "Can't see the forest for the trees" syndrome. Been there, done that. Fortunately it's fixable. And so stunning - congratulations is in order.

In my pollyanna mode, I'd say, Be glad you took the photo (not sure why these things show better in photos) and that it was before you quilted it! But in my real self mode, I'd say an expletive along with you--been there, done that.

The pineapples are beautiful. Glad you caught the border before you went any further. (Like basting. Or quilting.)

You are wise to NOT work to fix the error until you've slept on it.

I saw it and that is so like something I would do in a hurry to get it finished. Taking a break from it was a great idea.
