THESE ARE MAKIN ME HAPPY !

Two big finishes today ! - - well, what I call a "stage " finish, like finishing the top, or finishing the quilting... not the "finish, finish" - - but I celebrate every chance I can !!

The quilting is finished on this piece - Bonnie Hunter's "Pineapple Crazy" - - those are five inch pineapple square s - and yes, I went crazy.  Now just need to trim up and bind...  it weighs a ton!

Another milestone was finishing this top...  a great men's or picnic quilt...  The denim came from a giant "score" of denim from Cone Mills in North Carolina, gotten when I lived near there - I love using it mixed with cotton in these great cuddle quilts - heavy but not too heavy, snuggly - just perfect...  The four-patch blocks were gifted to me by someone - I have no idea who - so this is pretty much a cost-free top - and I love the way the green plays against the blue denim... next to quilt..

What a great quilty Sunday !   Hope everyone else had as much fun as I did!

I've been itching to make your Pineapple - I even DREAMED about it last night and was disapointed when waking that it wasn't started! Silly. Your's is a beauty - I HAVE wondered if it was heavy - thanks for that comment as well.

Hey, I just attended Bonnie's class in Denver, Shirttails, but I BOUGHT the BOOK that has this Pineapple - jeeesh - she says hers was 12,000 pieces.

I'm in the middle of Pineapple Crazy. So far I have all the pineapples made and about a quarter of the border blocks. I am debating making it larger for my king bed but was worried about the weight.
What do you think? Too heavy for a king? I would love to hear your opinion.

Now to what I should have said first. Your top is great! I love that no matter what your scraps look like the top just sparkles.
When I started this project all of my friends thoughts was bonkers, but now they all want to make at least a small version.

It looks great, the border really adds so much to it!

Very impressive! That pineapple quilt must have taken a long time.
