WRAP THAT SMILE !
Hi all - just a quick post - I am packing up charity quilts today - 23 of them. A few I made from the start - some others were tops sent to me for quilting - I've been working on this batch a while - probably a year and a half... but now they are ready to be packed up and handed off to the regional "gatherer" of these quilts.
After having a label added, they will go to the Rotary warehouse in San Francisco where they will join the medical team of Rotoplast on a medical mission to a third world country, and they will be given to a child who is undergoing facial reconstructive surgery - often cleft palate... they come out of surgery wrapped in a snuggly blanket.
Want to learn more about Wrap A Smile? You can visit the Sunshine Online Guild here - Sunshine has adopted Wrap A Smile as their project - heck, you can join us - make a block, make a quilt, quilt a top, participate in most any way you want.
Your heart will sing when you see a photo like this one.
Can you see how much those quilts 'warm up' that room? And yes, the quilts go home with the children and their mothers.
I should quit typing and go back to work...
Kate
