If you aren't familiar with the Empty Spools Seminars at Asiilomar - for heavens sake google it - it's just a fabulous set of week-long seminars...

In three weeks, I'll be taking this class with Sally Collins.

This class is filled with information, ideas, and new experiences and promises to advance your technical and creative skills. Within the scope of the class
project, you will learn how to compose your own unique quilt as we explore drafting categories; designing on an overall grid, color and precision piecing. You will gain the knowledge and confidence to exploit the opportunities for re-designing Sampler Supreme. Block design, size, placement and background design are yours to decide if you choose. Discover how exciting it is to create your quilts, your way. Sally's book "Drafting for the Creative Quilter" is necessary for this class and will be discounted to students.

Here's the photo of Sally's sampler - but the whole point of the class is to invent your own, draft your own patterns, and work with great precision on small scale works...
